Welcome to Cadiz, Kentucky!

As Southerners, we love to celebrate our favorite foods and our favorite pastimes. We invite you to Discover Our Charm.

As you drive Highway 68 you will see rolling farmland, family cemeteries dating back to the earliest settlers in Kentucky, stone walls and rows of trees dotting the landscape. Don't miss the tobacco barns, scattered throughout the community. Many feature colorful quilt squares and are a part of the West Kentucky Quilt Trail.

Drive Business 68 to the Renaissance on Main Historic District. Stroll through historic downtown's arts and antiques district. Shop in the numerous antique and specialty shops. Tour historic Fairholme, the c. 1890 Victorian home to industrialist and entrepreneur, John L. Street. Love fine art? Visit the Janice Mason Art Museum and spend the afternoon enjoying one of their world-class exhibits. Listen to real Bluegrass music at Jim's Music Store or Lakeland Jamboree. Savor the best food the south has to offer or simply find a bench and spend the day people watching.

Visit Lake Barkley State Resort Park, the crown jewel of the Kentucky Parks System. Fish, hunt, boat, water ski, hike, golf, or simply relax in a family friendly environment. Tour our national recreation area, Land Between the Lakes. Don't forget your camera. You will want to snap that unforgettable shot at the Elk & Bison Prairie. If you visit in the spring, you will wonder at the thousands of buttercups in bloom. (Daffodils for you Yankees) The buttercups were left behind when the residents moved from "Tween the Rivers" and it became Land Between the Lakes in the early 1960's. However you choose to spend your time, we hope you enjoy your stay in Cadiz…the South's best-kept secret.
